Educators and SMB users require clear, crisp projection of highly detailed text and images, and transportability for multi-venue meetings. The Acer X1260 meets these needs, along with a host of nice features for superb value. Thanks to its native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio, a 6-segment colour wheel, and Acer ColorBoost and SmartFormat technologies, the Acer X1260 projects vivid hues and true blacks for very impressive presentations.Main Features:Acer X126...

Value for money - I ve had this projector since January and have been very pleased with it. The image quality is good and the brightness and contrast ratios are amazing, especially for a budget model. You do get a little of the DLP rainbow effect on some images, I especially noticed it when watching a black and white film, but it is rare and not normally a problem.Switching the projector on in a dark room, once it has warmed up, you are virtually blinded by the brightness of the Acer logo it initially shows. I have used the projector in a number of locations including well lit rooms with a good amount of daylight and have never had a problem viewing the image. The projector is very easy to set up. It automatically detects input sources and switches accordingly. With other projectors I have occasionally had a problem with laptops not detecting they have a second display device connected but I have never had the problem with this projector.Housed in a small glossy plastic case the projector is very light and portable though it does show fingerprints easily. It s a bit of a cheek that they make you buy the carry case seperately but I guess they d put that down to the price. Personally I d rather it came with the case and cost £10 more. Rated at 4000 lamp hours this is about twice most of the competition though as is so often the case a replacement lamp currently seems to cost more than the projector itself.I have found the projector good for viewing video and great for presentations so if you re looking for a bright reasonably priced general purpose projector then look no further. If you are specifically looking for a projector for watching movies you may find other projectors are more suitable. Personally I would go for the X1260 over the SVGA version (X1160) but note that XGA resolution is 1024 x 768 and not 1280 x 1024 as currently listed in the product title.
